Terms of Service

Sunshine Snouts & Co. (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates under all required county pet-grooming permits and business-tax receipts in the jurisdiction where services are performed.

By booking an appointment and using our grooming and related pet-care services (“Services”), you (“Client,” “you”) agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Appointments & Cancellations

• Booking & Confirmation — Book by phone, on our website, or in person. SMS/e-mail reminders are available if you opt in.
• Cancellation Window — Please give at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations incur a 50 % fee; no-shows are charged in full.
• Late Arrivals — Arriving 15 minutes late may require rescheduling or a late-arrival fee. All fees are disclosed at booking in compliance with Fla. Stat. § 501.201 et seq.

2. Pricing & Payment

• Prices are estimates; they vary by breed, coat, size, temperament, and add-ons.
• Florida sales tax is not collected on grooming/boarding services. Tax is added only to retail items you purchase.
• Payment in full is due at pick-up. We accept cash and major credit/debit cards.

3. Pet Health & Safety

• Rabies Vaccine — Florida law (Fla. Stat. § 828.30) requires a current Rabies shot for all dogs/cats ≥ 4 months. Proof is mandatory.
• We also recommend Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella vaccinations.
• Tell us about all medical conditions, allergies, surgeries, or behavioral issues (including aggression).
• Pets with fleas/ticks receive an immediate treatment at your expense.
• Emergency Vet Care — If we believe urgent care is needed and cannot reach you, you authorize treatment up to $500 at your expense.
• We may refuse or stop services for pets that present a safety risk; a handling fee may apply.

4. Matted Coats

Humanity over vanity. Minor de-matting may be done for an added fee. Severe matting will be shaved short; you accept the attendant coat/skin risks.

5. Double-Coated Breeds

We discuss the consequences of shaving double-coated breeds (e.g., Huskies, Retrievers). If you request it, you accept the coat and skin risks that follow.

6. Pick-Up Policy

Please pick up your pet promptly when notified. Pets left past closing or the agreed time may incur a $25 late-pick-up/kennel fee.

7. Satisfaction & Complaints

Not happy? Tell us within 48 hours and we’ll offer a complimentary minor adjustment (no refunds on services rendered).

8. Photo & Video Release

We may photograph or video your pet for our website or social media. If your likeness appears, we’ll obtain separate written consent per Fla. Stat. § 540.08.

9. SMS Reminders

By opting in you consent to receive automated texts about your appointments. Reply STOP to cancel. Msg/data rates may apply.

10. Limitation of Liability & Hold Harmless

BY USING OUR SERVICES YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THE INHERENT RISKS OF PET GROOMING AND AGREE TO HOLD SUNSHINE SNOUTS & CO., ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS HARMLESS FROM ANY CLAIM, LOSS, OR EXPENSE (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) ARISING FROM YOUR PET’S PRE-EXISTING CONDITION OR BEHAVIOR, PROVIDED WE HAVE EXERCISED REASONABLE CARE. OUR LIABILITY, IF ANY, IS LIMITED TO THE COST OF THE GROOMING SERVICE PERFORMED ON THAT DAY.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updates take effect when posted in our salon and on our website.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

13. Acknowledgement

By booking and using our Services you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
